F1 in Schools 2010
F1 in Schools Ltd is a non-profit organisation established with committed partners to provide an exciting yet challenging educational experience through the magnetic appeal of Formula OneTM for students and school children from ages 9 to19 around the world. Its main objective is to help change perceptions of engineering, science and technology by creating a fun and engaging learning environment for young people to develop an informed view about careers in those fields and also in motor racing and marketing. F1 in Schools is active in 36 countries where 9 million students compete to win a place at the World Finals.”
In 2010, around 300 students from around the world arrived in Singapore to compete for the 6th World Finals, held at the Conrad Centennial. With guest appearances by personalities such as Bernie Ecclestone and Jenson Button, the competition concluded right before the Formula One race weekend where the students were treated to an on-site experience at the exhilarating night race.
